The Texas Education Agency’s Safe & Supportive Schools Division and our Project AWARE Texas partners will be hosting a series of monthly webinars to highlight resources and best practice strategies on timely and relevant safe and supportive schools topics. Topics will include school mental health, substance abuse prevention, school discipline, early mental health interventions, approaches to whole child student support, and building community partnerships to increase capacity. CPE credits will be made available to those who attend the full live session.

The 18th Annual Professional School Counselor Conference
February 12 – 14, 2023 in Round Rock, TX
The TSCA Professional School Counselor Conference will take place in Round Rock, Texas at the Kalahari Resort on Feb. 12-14, 2023. This event helps school counselors improve their knowledge of best practices, learn about policies that relate to their profession and meet their CE requirements. In-person and live-stream options will be available.
Administrators, including principals, assistant principals, assistant superintendents and superintendents can earn free CE hours and learn best practices for school counseling programs.
Creating Trauma-Sensitive Schools Conference
February 20 – 24, 2023 in Houston, TX
The 2023 Trauma-Sensitive Schools Conference, hosted by the Attachment & Trauma Network, will feature in-person and virtual events at the Hilton Americas-Houston. This year’s theme is Building Resilience and Improving Children’s Outcomes. In-person presentations will take place from February 20th – 21st and the virtual conference will be from February 23rd – 24th.
Texas School Social Workers Conference
February 22 – 24, 2023 in Austin, TX
The 2023 Texas School Social Workers Conference will be held in-person at the Renaissance Austin Hotel from February 22nd – 24th. This year’s theme is Together Again Putting the Social Back in School Social Work. The conference has been developed to give school-based service providers a wide array of effective techniques and programs to enhance their work as they meet the challenges found in today’s school settings. Conference participants will gain new strategies and tools to empower children, parents, and school personnel.
The Rural Route LSSSCA Virtual Conference
February 4, 2023 (Virtual)
The Lone Star State School Counselor Association is hosting a virtual conference on Saturday, February 4th from 10 am – 2:00 pm (CST). The conference is titled The Rural Route and will feature speakers from Texas Education Agency and the LSSSCA School Counselor of the Year.
